 Protean's column covers are available in aluminum plate, stainless steel, ACM materilas and laminated systems. They can be used in conjunction with other Protean panel systems or as an accent to other materials. They can be radiused, square or oval in shape with caulked, reveal or butt joints. They can have incorporated top, bottom and intermediate reveals. They can be furnished with sound deading material applied to reduce noise on impact. They are an ideal solution for interior and exterior column enclosure. Attachment Column covers are typically attached to a sub-framing system consisting of structural steel studs and clip angles attached to the building structure. They can also be attached directly to structural steel columns and concrete columns if room for sub-framing is not available. All column covers are engineered to withstand the required design loads.

In most cases the panels have ½" minimum joints sealed with backer rod and sealant, however, reveal and butt jointing are also available. They are ideal for interior and exterior column enclosures. Coil Coated Products - Aluminum and Steel are available with a Kynar 500 finish carrying a standard twenty (20) year finish warranty available from the following manufacturers: Valspar, Akzo Nobel, BASF (Morton) Spray Coated Products - Aluminum Plate panels are available with Kynar 500 Spray Coatings carrying a standard ten (10) year warranty available from the following manufacturers: Valspar, Akzo Nobel, BASF (Morton) Anodizing is also available in coil stock aluminum and in a batch anodizing process for sheet products and fabricated aluminum products. Stainless Steel is available in several standard as well as specialized finishes. |
