Laminated Column Covers can be radiused, square or
oval in shape with caulked, reveal or butt joints.
They can have incorporated top, bottom and intermediate
reveals. Our core materials actually act as sound
deading material to reduce noise on impact. These
column covers are fabricated on press breaks and roll-forming
equipment as shapes require and then laminated on
our vacuum press tables. In most cases the panels
have ½" minimum joints sealed with backer
rod and sealant, however, reveal and butt jointing
are also available. They are an ideal solution for
interior and exterior column enclosure.
Attachment
Column covers are typically attached to a sub-framing
system consisting of structural steel studs and clip
angles attached to the building structure. They can
also be attached directly to structural steel columns
and concrete columns if room for sub-framing is not
available. All column covers are engineered to withstand
the required design loads.
